July 26, 2011

Thoughts from yesterday:

July 26, 2011
When in doubt, DO Something; even if it is just a walk around the block.

FOCUS – follow one course until successful

Give each of my customers their own project file folder, not some space in a book.

Fixed Ongoing Concentration, Unlimited Success

Wow!  I thought the following about Mary Kay was very interesting:
“An  overwhelming numbe r  of  M w y  Kay Independent Beauty Consultants are women.
They, however, are extremely diverse - from housewives to u r b a n  professionals and
from all socioeconomic backgrounds.  In short, there i s  no "typicaln Independent
Beauty Consultant.
Becoming an Independent Beauty Consultant is convenient, simple, a n d
straightforward - a n  individual signs a one page Independent Beauty Consultant
Agreement ("Agreementn) a n d  purchases the Starter Kit for approximately $100.
This kit contains bus ine s s  tools a n d  literature, a s  well as a generous amount of  full
sized M a r y  Kay@ products with a retail value of  over $300.  Furthermore, to reduce
the risk of loss for a new Independent Beauty Consultant and to allow for changed
circumstances, t h e  Company contractually allows the r e turn of t h e  Starter Kit for a
full,  100 percent refund within the first thirty days after a n  Agreement i s  signed.”
And this one too:

“Independent Beauty Consultant h a s  with regard to
receiving a  100 percent refund for her Starter Kit within t h e  first 30 days and the
Company's  promise to buy back, at 9 0  percent of t h e  Beauty Consultant's  original
cost, any of the products she  purchased at wholesale from the Company within one
year from t h e  date of  purchase.  Furthermore, there are no provisions in the
Independent Beauty Consultant Agreement t h a t  prohibit the Independent Beauty
Consultant from conducting other direct selling businesses, even businesses t h a t
compete directly with M a r y  Kay. This flexibility applies both during as well a s  after
her M a r y  Kay business may end.”

I’ve been going through cycles of having it together to having it a mess since April or May. I know I can keep it together because I’ve been there. Trying to figure out when I get to a point of losing it. Not sure if it’s between those fatigue PMS moments or not. I’m gonna keep a journal to chronicle all of that.

My mom did say everything in my life will be better after the surgery.  I am so looking forward to it.  3 friends who had it this year all say they feel so much better now.

The fatigue and heavy bleeding are the major culprits in my life right now.  Sometimes I get foggy brain too.

I miss ME.  I’m on a campaign to get Keala back.  I do make cameo appearances in my life from time to time though.

Week In Review

Warning: This entry is just a bunch of my ramblings during my boring down time. Please don't take it too seriously.
I think I may start playing with HTML again. Get serious about my skills. Something has to change in my life.

Add http://www.distancehealer.net/index.htm to stumble. Susan is a wonderful and beautiful person. She lived about 3 houses down from me for at least 3 to 4 years before I moved into my own home.

Today is a good day. I am enjoying my work and the space I reside in. Life is good. Life is damn GREAT!

The Truth by India.Arie reminds me of Doug. I love that song and I love that man.
Add http://www.pandora.com/ to stumble as well.

It's 3:10 pm and I am sleepy. I guess those Emerald Nuts commercials are true. Yall better be careful with that 3pm energy zapper. I went to the vending machine to get some nuts but sadly they were not Emerald's. I guess I'll just have to quietly find a place to go snooze and pray nobody misses me.

I had a cube visitor and the visit woke me up. Feeling much better now.

Last week was my birthday and it was beautiful. Doug took me to Ruth's Chris on Tuesday. I had a party on Friday. Herman bought both of my cakes: a red velvet and a rainbow sheet cake. My friends and family came out to help celebrate. We had fun.

On Saturday I had the Cloud Nine treatment at Urban Nirvana thanks to wonderful Doug. God I appreciate that man. He's coming to fix my bathroom plumbing tonight. Literally, not figuratively.
I know I have only been blogging on a weekly basis, but I'm trying to get back to my normal schedule. My schedule got messed up when I decided to blog only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends. Big mistake. That schedule did not work out well for me. So, I am back to testing which schedule will suit my life better. I have been diligently avoiding feature creep on my life and I love the results.

Some friends invited me to dinner tonight. I am not sure if it's for me or them. They called the day of my birthday to say they wanted to take me to dinner that night. Well, if you know me, you know I already had plans and I hate last minute invites like that. Ugh. So they asked me to pencil them in my schedule. (I went to all you can eat crab legs with those people. I'm not talking to them anymore because I hurt myself with those crab legs. They didn't even warn me that the legs were that good.....*scratching my arms wanting more*)

The baby shower for my grandbaby is April 26th. It is suppose to be at my home, but I may change that location. I'll be sending out the invitations this week. I need to double check with my mom because she's sending out invites as well.

I remember writing a review about a site that helps with showers and special occasions. I may have to dig that site back up to get some help with our shower. We shall see. For those of you care, we are registered at Target. You can go to Target.com and look up the gift registry for father Anthony Jacobs in SC and Mother Christina Macon in SC. Go on and buy them a gift from Target and have it delivered to the address in the registry.

Not in the mood

Allan had a fever today

I gave him Motrin, then Tylenol

He missed the birthday party he wanted to go to today

William had a cold last week

I woke up at 3:30 unable to breathe this morning

William was being rather clingy when he had that cold

I think I caught it from him

I've been perusing different blogs and sites today

Usually I read them, but not today

I was just not in the mood to actually read them though

My throat itches

Today is my dad's birthday

My brother just called to remind me

I thought it was tomorrow

A good article about simplifying is here

I learned about Google Scholar today. Cool

It's after 11 and I'm still wide awake! What's this about?

Markus is always blogging something good. He blogged about The Secret again. Loved it as usual.

American corporations are always thinking of new ways to take our money, rape us, steal from us. They have even gotten laws passed in an effort to give it to us in the azz.

While I appreciate the efforts of many well meaning bloggers, tonight I am really not in the mood to do anything about the issues they bring up.

Congratulations goes out to the writer of Zen Habits for his book deal.

Does the sun ever shine in Gotham City?

Every time I see Gotham City on TV, it is always gloomy and dark. Smallville gets sunshine. Does Gotham City ever have a bright and sunny day?

Four Boyfriends

Once upon a time there was this girl who had four boyfriends.

She loved the 4th boyfriend the most and adored him with rich robes and treated him to the finest of delicacies. She gave him nothing but the best.

She also loved the 3rd boyfriend very much and was always showing him off to neighboring kingdoms.
However, she feared that one day he would leave her for another.

She also loved her 2nd boyfriend. He was her confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with her.
Whenever this girl faced a problem, she could confide in him, and he would help her get through the difficult times.

The girls 1st boyfriend was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining her wealth and kingdom. However, she did not love the first boyfriend. Although he loved her deeply, she hardly took notice of him.!

One day, the girl fell ill and she knew her time was short. She thought of her luxurious life and wondered, I now have four boyfriends with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone.'

Thus, she asked the 4th boyfriend, I loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?'

'No way!', replied the 4th boyfriend, and he walked away without another word.

His answer cut like a sharp knife right into her heart.

The sad girl then asked the 3rd boyfriend, 'I loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?'

'No!', replied the 3rd boyfriend. 'Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to marry someone else!'

Her heart sank and turned cold.

She then asked the 2nd boyfriend, 'I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me.

When I die, will you follow me and keep me compa! ny?'

'I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!', replied the 2nd boyfriend. 'At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave.'

His answer struck her like a bolt of lightning, and the girl was devastated.

Then a voice called out: 'I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go.'

The girl looked up, and there was her first boyfriend. He was very skinny as he suffered from malnutrition and neglect.

Greatly grieved, the girl said, 'I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!'

In truth, you have 4 boyfriends in your lives:

Your 4th boyfriend is your body. No matter how much time and effort you lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die.

Your 3rd boyfriend is your possessions, status and wealth. When you die, it will all go to others.

Your 2nd boyfriend is your family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for you, the furthest they can ! stay by you is up to the grave.

And your 1st boyfriend is your Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, your Soul is the only thing that will follow you where ever you go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only
part of you that will follow you to the throne of God and continue with you throughout Eternity.

Thought for the day: Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray.

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections .
